Tanna's Bio

TANNA FREDERICK has starred in two plays on the Los Angeles stage over the last two years - Henry Jaglom's "A SAFE PLACE" and in N. Richard Nash's "ECHOES." She is now making her screen debut in Jaglom's latest film, playing the leading role in HOLLYWOOD DREAMS, which will have its U.S. premiere at the Los Angeles AFI Film Festival in November. HOLLYWOOD DREAMS also stars Justin Kirk (HBO's ANGELS IN AMERICA, Showtime's WEEDS), as well as featuring Karen Black, Melissa Leo, Zack Norman, David Proval, and introducing Keaton Simons. Ms. Frederick has also recently completed principal photography on Jaglom?s next film, IRENE IN TIME, a film about the relationships of fathers and daughters, in which she stars in the title role.

Ms. Frederick began her acting career early in life at the Stebens' Children?s Theatre in Iowa; she later graduated from the University of Iowa with Honors in both Political Science and Theatre Arts. Subsequent theatrical experiences included major roles in "WHY WE HAVE A BODY," "CAT'S PAW," "JACK AND JILL," "THE MAIDS" and "TOUSSAINT: FOR THE LOVE OF FREEDOM," the latter produced by Ben Guillory and Danny Glover at the Robey Theatre in Los Angeles.
